AFC Leopards have officially announced the signing of midfielder Eric Namaan Balecho from Bandari FC on a two-year contract as they prepare for the upcoming 2026/27 FKF Premier League season.
Balecho, who began his football career at AFC Leopards’ youth academy, returns to the club seven years after departing in 2019 in search of more first-team opportunities. Since leaving Leopards, he has gained extensive experience playing for top-tier Kenyan clubs including Tusker FC, Murang’a Seal, and most recently Bandari FC.
In a statement on their official Facebook page, AFC Leopards welcomed the winger back, emphasizing the importance of adding depth and experience to their squad. This signing follows the arrival of Robinson Msungu and Ugandan international Taddeo Lwanga, as the club’s coaching staff continues to strengthen the team.
Having finished as runners-up to Gor Mahia in the previous FKF Premier League season, AFC Leopards are eager to leverage their new acquisitions to mount a stronger title challenge. The club last won the league in 1998 and is determined to end the long wait for another championship.
