The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has authorized bribery charges against Kangema Senior Principal Magistrate Martin Kinyua and Probation Officer Julius Irungu following an Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) investigation.

The EACC submitted an inquiry file indicating that Irungu solicited Ksh 170,000 from a Murang'a businessman convicted of obtaining money by false pretences.
