The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has taken action against four individuals suspected of embezzling Constituency Development Funds (CDF) amounting to KSh 4.8 million, originally allocated for transformer projects.
On 29 July 2026, the Commission announced the arrest of three suspects and the summons of a fourth. The accused are Pauline Waruguru Mwangi, James Muroki Eusebio, James Ntonjira Ntongai, and Joshua M'maroo. While three were detained and scheduled for arraignment at Meru Law Courts, M'maroo was instructed to present himself at the EACC's Upper Eastern Regional Office in Isiolo.
