Lang’ata Member of Parliament Felix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, has commented on the recent Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election, interpreting the results as a strong indicator of political trends in the Mt Kenya region ahead of the 2027 general election.

Speaking on the AM TV Podcast on July 28, 2026, Jalang’o emphasized that the victory of the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) candidate sends a clear message to anyone considering contesting against former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in Mt Kenya.

Implications of Ol Kalou By-Election

Jalang’o described the by-election outcome as a lesson for political aspirants, noting that the electorate in Mt Kenya is aligning closely with Gachagua’s party, DCP. He warned that opposing this growing political wave could result in defeat.
