Kakamega Homeboyz have made significant additions to their roster as they prepare for a competitive 2026/27 Kenya Premier League campaign. The club aims to improve on their sixth-place finish last season by reinforcing key positions.
Among the new signings are striker Ibrahim Joshua and defender Charles Momanyi, both joining from Tusker on two-year contracts. Momanyi, who previously played for Homeboyz before stints at Gor Mahia and Tusker, returns as a central defender. Additionally, former Gor Mahia assistant captain Geoffrey Ochieng has been secured to strengthen the left-back position.
Team Manager Boniface Imbenzi expressed confidence that the new recruits will add valuable experience and quality to the squad. He also confirmed that some players have left the club by mutual agreement to pursue opportunities elsewhere, allowing room for the fresh signings.
Homeboyz, who lifted the FKF Cup in 2023, ended last season with 49 points, trailing champions Gor Mahia by 20 points. The club remains focused on securing their first-ever league title since promotion from the National Super League.
