The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has appointed five new non-executive directors to its board, effective July 28, 2026. This move aims to reinforce the company's governance and strategic direction.

The newly appointed directors bring extensive experience from various sectors including economics, energy, engineering, finance, and public administration. They are:

  • Ramathan Ggoobi – Uganda's Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, with expertise in macroeconomic policy and public financial management.
  • Irene Pauline Bateebe – Uganda's Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, boasting over 20 years in the energy, petroleum, and mining industries.
  • Meshack Otieno Kidenda – A veteran engineer with more than four decades in infrastructure development and public administration, formerly the first Director General of the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA).
  • Samson Kipkemboi Burgei – Appointed as alternate director to the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning; currently serves as Technical Advisor for Treasury Cash Management.
  • CPA Ronald Kenyanya Nyamosi – Alternate director to the Managing Trustee and CEO of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), and General Manager for Finance and Investments with over 20 years’ experience in finance, investments, and risk management.

KPC emphasized that the diverse skills of these directors will strengthen the board’s oversight and help achieve the company’s long-term strategic goals. The board expressed a warm welcome and looks forward to their contributions in upholding high standards of corporate governance and sustainability.
