The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has expanded its board with the appointment of five new Non-Executive Directors from Kenya and Uganda, effective July 28, 2026. These appointments aim to enhance the company’s governance and align with its strategic objectives.

New Board Members Bring Diverse Expertise

  • Dr Ramathan Ggoobi: An economist and public policy expert, currently Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury at Uganda’s Ministry of Finance. Dr Ggoobi holds a PhD in Economics and has extensive experience in macroeconomic policy and public financial management.
  • Ms Irene Pauline Bateebe: A senior public sector leader with over 20 years in energy, mining, and petroleum sectors. She serves as Permanent Secretary of Uganda’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development and holds advanced degrees in sustainable energy engineering and refinery design.
  • Eng Meshack Otieno Kidenda: An engineer with over 40 years in transport infrastructure and governance, former Chief Engineer Roads and first Director General of Kenya National Highways Authority.
  • Samson Kipkemboi Burgei: Appointed as Alternate Director to the Cabinet Secretary of National Treasury, brings over 30 years’ experience in public financial management and central banking.
  • CPA Ronald Kenyanya Nyamosi: Alternate Director to the Managing Trustee/CEO of the National Social Security Fund, with more than 20 years in finance, investment oversight, and pension fund management.
