Kenya Power has announced planned power interruptions in nine counties on Tuesday, August 18, as part of scheduled maintenance to improve the electricity network.
The outages will affect various towns, market centres, and rural areas between morning and evening hours. The maintenance work aims to upgrade ageing infrastructure, enhance service delivery, and facilitate connections for new customers.

- Kisumu: Mamboleo (9am - 4pm)
- Bungoma: Kimilili, Lutonyi, Chebukwabi, Nasinda, Namawanga, Kimalewa, and nearby areas (9am - 5pm)
- Migori: Alaba, Osingo, Saa Yote, Wuoth Ogik, Kadika, and surrounding locations (8:30am - 5pm)
- Homa Bay: Malela, Ogongo, Radiro, Kodiera, Kamata, Nyakayiemba, Koguta Junction, and adjacent customers (9am - 5pm)
- Nyeri: Kirichu, Kagumo Secondary School, Kanjora, Birisha, Mihuti, Giathugu, and neighbouring areas (9am - 5pm)
- Laikipia: IBIS Farm, Mia Moja, Kirimara, Magutu, Ngenia, Sirimon, and nearby customers (8am - 5pm)
- Taita Taveta: Voi Market, Voi Railways, Maweni, and surrounding areas (9am - 5pm)
- Kwale: Kinango, Tiribe, Madabara, Gulanze, Ndavaya, Mwalukombe, and adjacent customers (9am - 5pm)
- Mombasa: Concordia, Vikwatani, Kajiweni, Makadara Ndogo Referral Hospital, Mtopanga, Manoni, Chembani, Bakarani, and nearby locations (9am - 5pm)
