The Kenya Space Agency (KSA) has opened a registration and pre-qualification process inviting suppliers, service providers, and contractors to engage with the agency for the 2026-2028 contract cycle.

The agency's tender notice, published on its official website, covers 39 procurement categories spanning a diverse range of goods and services. Interested firms must submit their applications by 10:00 a.m. on 12 August 2026.

Procurement Categories

  • Goods: office and printed supplies, office furniture, IT equipment such as computers, laptops, printers, scanners, software licenses, and promotional materials including banners and brochures.
  • Space-related hardware: equipment like telescopes and spare parts for ground receiver stations.
  • Services: audio-visual production, digital marketing, event management, hotel and conference facilities, clearing and forwarding, catering, transport, and car hire.
  • Space services: specialized service providers in space technology are also encouraged to apply.

Focus on AGPO-Registered Firms

The agency has allocated specific categories exclusively for firms registered under the Access to Government Procurement Opportunities (AGPO) program, which supports businesses owned by youth, women, and persons with disabilities. These categories include:

  • Catering
  • Office cleaning and pest control
  • Travel agency and air ticketing (for KCAA-registered firms)
  • Bulk printing and document management
  • Repair of office furniture and electrical fittings

Other categories remain open to all qualifying firms.
