Richard Nyamunyamu, a physically disabled father from Nyamira, touched the hearts of many at Moi Kapsowar Girls' School during Parents' Day celebrations. Traveling from Itibo Ward in Nyamira North to Elgeyo-Marakwet County, Nyamunyamu came to support his daughter Elizabeth, a high school candidate preparing for national exams.
When given the opportunity to address the assembly, Nyamunyamu invited Elizabeth on stage to perform a gospel song together. Before singing, he acknowledged the skepticism some had about his ability to raise and educate his child due to his disability.
"People said Nyamunyamu is crippled and cannot take his child through school, but today you have all witnessed us win," he told the audience, highlighting his determination and parental love.
Their heartfelt duet became the highlight of the day, with other students joining in singing and dancing along. Many guests approached the duo afterward, expressing appreciation and offering support.
