Police conducted a targeted raid at a stall located in Platinum Plaza along Tom Mboya Street in Nairobi's Central Business District, arresting a suspect suspected of handling stolen mobile phones.
During the operation, officers recovered 38 mobile phones, three laptops, and a desktop computer. Investigations are ongoing to determine how the electronics came into the suspect's possession.
The raid was part of a broader intelligence-led crackdown aimed at dismantling criminal networks involved in receiving, concealing, and redistributing stolen property within Nairobi.
Additional Arrests and Seizures
Later, police intercepted two more suspects at the Imenti House car park. A search of their vehicle uncovered two Lenovo monitors, central processing units, keyboards, cables, and other computer accessories. Notably, these items bore labels indicating they belonged to a government institution, prompting further inquiries into their origin.
The vehicle was impounded, and the suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.

Detectives are working to establish links between the recovered electronics and reported theft cases, as well as connections to wider criminal syndicates operating in the city.
This operation underscores police efforts to disrupt markets that facilitate the sale and modification of stolen electronics.
