Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo delivered a heartfelt eulogy for Elvis Otieno, known as Beast, during a requiem mass held on July 29, 2026, at the Technical University of Mombasa.

Omollo recounted how Beast, originally from Kisumu County but active in Mombasa, surprised him by flying in from Nairobi on the day of the World Cup final to watch the match together at English Point. Joined by several student leaders, they supported Spain, who eventually won the tournament.

After the celebrations, Beast sent Omollo a message at 2:20 AM expressing gratitude for their time together. The following day, Omollo returned to Nairobi, only to receive heartbreaking news of Beast's sudden passing.

"Beast was like a son to me," Omollo said, highlighting their shared vision and Beast's dedication to youth leadership and national transformation. Beast had been actively involved in supporting government education initiatives even after completing his studies.
