Russian missile and drone strikes have claimed the life of a woman and injured six others in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, local officials confirmed early Sunday.
Meanwhile, Kyiv faced a ballistic missile attack late Saturday, resulting in one injury and fires at non-residential sites in the Obolonsky and Holosiivskyi districts.
Drone Interception Over Romania
Romania’s Defence Ministry announced that a Spanish F-18 fighter jet, operating under NATO air policing, shot down a drone that had illegally entered Romanian airspace. This marks the fourth drone intercepted in Romania this year.
The ministry did not disclose the drone's origin. Romania, sharing a 634-kilometre border with Ukraine, has experienced repeated airspace violations by drones amid Russia’s intensified bombing campaigns targeting Ukrainian civilian and military infrastructure.
