Authorities are probing the suspected homicide of an unidentified man whose body was discovered early Friday morning along the Nairobi–Naivasha Highway in Limuru, Kiambu County.
The deceased was found on a dusty service road near Tarabana Junction in the Kamirithu area by members of the public who alerted police.
Responding officers from Limuru town police station, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and traffic officials observed that the body had multiple injuries. These included severe wounds to both lower limbs near the ankles, with the left leg possibly sustaining a compound fracture, as well as penetrating wounds on both upper limbs near the elbows, a deep cut on the left ear, and a sharp injury on the right side of the head.
Police noted minimal blood stains at the scene, suggesting the attack occurred elsewhere before the body was dumped. Several shoe prints were recorded around the body. The scene was processed and documented before the body was taken to Tigoni Sub-County Hospital Mortuary awaiting identification and a post-mortem examination.
Investigators have not yet determined the motive and have appealed to the public to provide any information that could assist in identifying the victim or advancing the inquiry.
Separate Death Under Investigation in Juja
In a related development, police are investigating the death of a 30-year-old man, Emmanuel Wainaina, whose body was found beside a drainage ditch in Juja Sub-County, Kiambu County.
The incident was reported Friday afternoon after Wainaina’s mother received a distress call indicating her son had fallen into a drainage ditch near One Four area along Kiganjo Road.
Officers found Wainaina’s body with no visible injuries. The scene was processed and the body transferred to Kenyatta University Funeral Home pending post-mortem examination. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
