National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula paid a condolence visit to Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale following the death of his wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale.
Wetang’ula visited the family home in Malinya, Ikolomani, where he expressed his sympathies on behalf of himself, his family, and the Parliament of Kenya. He also conveyed President William Ruto’s condolences and support during this difficult period.
“Losing a spouse and mother is a deeply painful experience,” Wetang’ula said, describing Gloria as a warm and hospitable woman who welcomed guests with kindness whenever they visited the Khalwale family.
Gloria passed away on August 15 after reportedly collapsing from a heart attack. Senator Khalwale announced her death, mourning the loss of his beloved wife and mother to their eight children.
Wetang’ula urged Kenyans to support grieving families through comforting words, acts of kindness, solidarity, and prayer. He concluded by praying for the late Gloria’s soul to rest in eternal peace.
