The Wiper Patriotic Front has refuted a forged document circulating online that falsely suggested party leader Kalonzo Musyoka would soon announce a significant change in his political direction.
The counterfeit statement, designed to mimic official Wiper letterhead and branded with party logos and contact information, invited media to a press conference scheduled for August 28, 2026, at the SKM Command Centre in Karen, Nairobi. It claimed Kalonzo would reveal his future plans amid Kenya’s evolving political landscape ahead of the 2027 General Election.
However, the document contained inconsistencies, including conflicting dates, which raised suspicion. Soon after, the Wiper party marked the statement as fake and issued a formal denial.
Wiper’s Official Response
The party urged supporters and the public to disregard the forged communication, reaffirming their unwavering commitment to the Wantam Movement and the broader opposition agenda. A Wiper spokesperson emphasized:
- "Ignore the fake news. We are committed to Wantam Movement."
- "Ukombozi wa Kenya ni lazima, and Kenya cannot be liberated until we send this regime home."
This response not only dismissed the false claims but also reinforced the party’s solidarity within the united opposition coalition, dismissing all speculation about Kalonzo’s political allegiance shifts.
