AA Kenya has inaugurated its 100th branch located in Nairobi's Central Business District (CBD), a significant achievement in the company's growth and service accessibility strategy.

Group Managing Director Francis Theuri highlighted that the new branch symbolizes the organisation's dedication to enhancing customer proximity while gearing up for its next growth phase, including a planned listing on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).

"This milestone celebrates over a century of service, resilience, and innovation," Theuri said during the launch. He emphasized the historical importance of the CBD branch, situated where AA Kenya originally established its headquarters in the early 1900s and where the country's distance measurement system began.

Established in 1919, AA Kenya has been instrumental in Kenya's transport sector, contributing to early road infrastructure, launching the first fuel station, driving school, and pioneering services like vehicle inspection, valuation, roadside assistance, and recovery.

Since 2007, when the company had 32 branches, AA Kenya has deliberately expanded to cover all counties and major towns, including Nairobi, Diani, Garissa, Kapsabet, Kitui, Homa Bay, Isiolo, and Narok.

Theuri noted that the new CBD branch aims to serve a diverse clientele, including commuters, matatu operators, businesses, professional drivers, banks, insurance firms, and SACCOs.

He further explained that the branch opening follows AA Kenya's transformation from a member-based society to a public limited company, a move designed to unlock capital, enhance governance, and support sustainable growth.

"Our upcoming NSE listing represents not just a financial milestone but a commitment to transparency, accountability, and shared prosperity," Theuri added.

Director of Business Channels Daniel Mbogo remarked that the branch addresses the rising demand for mobility services in Nairobi's bustling commercial hub. It offers services tailored to boda boda riders, including rider training and licensing, as well as international driving permits, Carnet de Passage documentation, and flight delay assistance.

"We aim to provide a seamless, one-stop service that saves time and delivers the quality AA Kenya is known for," Mbogo said. The company continues to focus on expanding its branch network nationwide and enhancing customer experience amid growing mobility needs.
