Airtel Money Kenya has introduced Bizna Wallet, a specialized digital wallet aimed at empowering small businesses across the country to better handle their financial transactions.
With 95% of Kenyan SMEs now accepting mobile payments, according to the Mastercard SME Confidence Index, the need for tailored financial solutions has never been greater. Bizna Wallet offers entrepreneurs a dedicated platform to separate business funds from personal money, track daily sales, access mini statements, and receive payments across different mobile money networks.
Key Features of Bizna Wallet
- Designed for micro-businesses including kiosk owners, market traders, boda boda riders, and matatu operators.
- Helps separate business income from personal finances.
- Provides visibility over cash flow and protects against unauthorized payment reversals.
- Enables monitoring of daily sales and access to mini statements.
- Supports payments across multiple mobile money platforms.
Michael Bonke, Airtel Money Kenya Acting Managing Director, emphasized the importance of the product in supporting Kenya’s small business community. He stated, "Our goal is to provide solutions that help businesses operate more efficiently while making digital financial services more accessible and rewarding."
Expanded Cashback Program
Alongside Bizna Wallet, Airtel Money has broadened its Rudishiwa cashback program to include all users. Eligible transactions such as paybill payments, cross-network money transfers, and bank transfers now earn 50% cashback credited instantly into a dedicated Cashback Wallet.
Bonke added, "We have introduced real cash rewards that customers can transfer into their main Airtel Money wallet, enhancing the value of every transaction."
The cashback initiative requires no opt-in and applies to transactions of KES 101 and above, accessible via USSD (*334#) and the My Airtel App.
