Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has emphasized the need to bolster the team's attacking options after losing Robert Lewandowski and Marcus Rashford, while the future of Ferran Torres remains uncertain.
Speaking after an internal training match at St. George's Park in England, where the team is preparing for the season, Flick expressed confidence in sporting director Deco's efforts to secure new signings. However, he noted that decisions will also depend on developments regarding Torres.
Torres, a Spain international who scored the winning goal in the World Cup final against Argentina, has one year remaining on his contract with Barcelona. The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, managed by former Spain coach Luis Enrique. In a recent interview with NBC, Torres admitted uncertainty about his future and hinted at a possible transfer.
"I have a contract at Barcelona but in football you never know," Torres said. "I'm just waiting to make the right decision." When asked about a dream destination, he declined to reveal it.
This summer, Barcelona secured the signings of Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi, both wingers who can also play centrally. Flick highlighted their versatility, along with promising Spanish teenager Lamine Yamal, as valuable options in the forward line.
