Bingo Technologies has introduced the Bingo E2, an electric vehicle tailored for Kenya's ride-hailing and delivery sectors. The company has begun accepting pre-orders, aiming to address the challenges that have limited electric vehicle adoption in Nairobi and other urban centers.

Swappable Dual-Battery System

The E2 stands out with its unique dual-battery configuration. It combines a fixed 31 kWh battery with an additional 13 kWh pack composed of four swappable units. This design enables drivers to replace depleted batteries in under two minutes, avoiding lengthy charging delays.

With this setup, the vehicle achieves a total range of approximately 440 km. Additionally, it supports DC fast charging and car-to-car power transfer, allowing one E2 to recharge another if necessary. This system is intended to maximize driving time, thereby increasing earning potential for drivers.

Design and Operational Efficiency

Bingo Technologies is launching Cloud Fleet OS, a platform that allows fleet owners globally to purchase E2 vehicles, assign them to vetted local operators, and monitor real-time performance metrics. Over 7,500 devices are currently managed through this system across multiple countries.

The vehicle is also equipped with MAYA, an AI-driven system that oversees functions such as remote immobilization for non-payment, automated payment enforcement, and maintenance scheduling.

Backing and Market Context

Supported by investors including Trucks VC and Delta 40, Bingo Technologies aims to tackle broader economic challenges related to power and mobility. CEO Daniel Huang highlighted Kenya's progressive EV policies and renewable energy investments as key factors in the country’s emerging role as a hub for electric mobility in Africa. The E2 launch aligns with efforts to promote cleaner transport solutions while providing drivers with affordable vehicle ownership options.

Pricing and Availability

The Bingo E2 is available for reservation through drivebingo.ke at an estimated price of KES 1.8 million. Deliveries are expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026.
