Brian Malloy, who had recently taken the helm as CEO of Carpenter Technology Corporation, died suddenly on July 24, 2026, only three weeks after his appointment on July 1.

The Philadelphia-based steel manufacturer confirmed his unexpected passing without disclosing the cause of death. Malloy was 59 years old.
