Josimar Jose Evora Dias, popularly known as Vozinha, is set to join Chilean football giants Colo Colo after a standout showing at the 2026 World Cup.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper, who gained widespread acclaim for his performances during Cape Verde's unexpected World Cup run, will arrive in Chile shortly to complete his medicals and officially sign with the club, Colo Colo president Anibal Mosa confirmed.

Vozinha played a pivotal role in Cape Verde's campaign, delivering heroic saves in a goalless group-stage draw against eventual champions Spain and in a narrow 3-2 extra-time defeat to finalists Argentina in the knockout rounds.

Before this move, Vozinha was with Chaves in Portugal's second division. Despite starting his professional career relatively late at 26, he has accumulated experience across multiple countries including Cyprus, Slovakia, Moldova, and Angola.

Mosa highlighted the goalkeeper's excellent form as a key reason for the signing, stating, "He's in very good form; that's why we're signing him."

Beyond his on-field exploits, Vozinha has become a social media sensation, with his Instagram followers skyrocketing from 50,000 to nearly 30 million, partly thanks to support from Brazilian influencer Casimiro.

Colo Colo, boasting 34 Chilean league titles, currently leads the standings midway through the season and will look to strengthen their squad further with Vozinha's addition.
