Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku has publicly defended Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki, emphasizing his rightful respect as Kenya's second-in-command amid political tensions in the Mt. Kenya region.
Speaking in Mauche, Njoro Constituency, Nakuru County, on Friday, CS Ruku criticized former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for engaging in divisive politics that he claims threaten the region's stability and the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Addressing rumors of a rift between President William Ruto and the Mt. Kenya community, Ruku clarified that the discord is personal to Gachagua following his impeachment, not reflective of the broader community's stance.
- Ruku highlighted the contrasting leadership records of Gachagua and Kindiki, noting Kindiki's loyalty and effective service as Deputy President.
