The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has recovered 35.7 kilogrammes of cannabis sativa valued at approximately Ksh1.07 million during a raid in Molo, Nakuru County.
The operation, carried out early Monday morning, involved the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) detectives stationed in Molo in partnership with officers from the Molo Police Station. It followed actionable intelligence on narcotics activities in the area.
During the raid, authorities apprehended a 45-year-old suspect in Munju, Molo, who is believed to be involved in drug trafficking. Investigators seized a substantial quantity of cannabis ready for distribution.

The total haul weighed 35.7 kilograms with an estimated street value of Ksh1,071,000. All seized narcotics have been secured as exhibits as investigations proceed.

The suspect remains in custody as detectives continue to gather evidence ahead of court action. The DCI reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling narcotics networks nationwide through intensified operations.
