An Eldoret court has issued a warrant for the arrest of Noah Kibet Mutai, a nurse residing in the United States, over failure to comply with child support orders for his three-year-old daughter.
The directive was issued by Eldoret Senior Principal Magistrate Cheronoh Kesse, who instructed the Officer Commanding Station at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to detain Mutai upon arrival and bring him to court to face contempt charges.

- Mutai was ordered on July 17, 2024, to pay Ksh 20,000 monthly to his ex-wife, Nancy Jemutai Samoei, to cover their daughter's expenses.
- Despite the order, Mutai failed to provide any support, leaving Nancy to bear the financial burden alone.
- Nancy relocated to her parents' home in Kapseret after Mutai moved to the US for work without notifying her.
- The couple married in December 2020 and have one child, born on August 16, 2023.
