Former Sports and Culture Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario has officially parted ways with the Jubilee Party and joined the National Economic Development Party (NEDP) as he launches his bid for the Isiolo County governorship in the upcoming general election.
The move was confirmed after a strategic meeting between Wario and NEDP officials, where they unveiled a shared vision focusing on reviving stalled county projects and promoting inclusive governance.
Development Priorities for Isiolo

Wario, who belongs to the Wajirde clan, emphasized his commitment to serve all Isiolo residents regardless of their political or clan affiliations, highlighting his focus on sustainable development and inclusive leadership.
The NEDP leadership expressed confidence in Wario’s ability to drive transformative change given his extensive experience in public service, pledging full support for his gubernatorial campaign.
