Kenyan distance runner Frankline Kibet is set to be a major contender at the World Under-20 Championships kicking off in Oregon, United States. Kibet, who has recorded a remarkable season best of 13:08.32 in the 5,000 metres, is the clear favourite for the men's event.
He will be competing to secure the 5,000m title, adding to his World U20 Cross-Country gold medal won earlier this year in Tallahassee, Florida. This achievement would further establish him as one of the top young talents in global distance running.
