Promotion specialist Gilbert Selebwa has been appointed head coach of MOFA FC with the mission to guide the National Super League side into the FKF Premier League next season.
Selebwa, who has successfully led AFC Leopards, Shabana FC, and Mombasa United to promotion in the past, expressed confidence in MOFA FC's potential to finally achieve top-tier status after missing out in recent campaigns.
"After discussing the club's ambitions, it was clear that my role would be to help drive the team towards Premier League promotion," Selebwa said following his appointment.
The experienced coach officially met with his new squad and technical staff at Ringa Secondary School as preparations for the upcoming season commenced. He emphasized the importance of quickly implementing his coaching philosophy.
"Contractual matters were concluded recently, and today marked my first session with the players to start building our working relationship," he added.
MOFA FC ended last season in fifth place on the National Super League table, accumulating 64 points—17 points shy of champions Migori Youth FC who secured promotion.
