The latest Artificial Intelligence Index Report 2026 reveals that global perceptions about how AI will transform workplaces have stayed consistent over the past year.

According to the report, 39% of respondents in both 2024 and 2025 believe it is somewhat likely that AI will alter how they perform their current jobs within the next five years. Meanwhile, 32% feel such changes are unlikely.

Notably, those who consider it very likely that AI will impact their work increased slightly from 21% in 2024 to 22% in 2025. The share of people uncertain about AI’s influence decreased from 8% to 7% during the same period.
