A tragic incident has claimed the life of a Grade Five pupil in Ekarungu Village, Mumias East, Kakamega County. Moses Atsulu, a student at Khaimba Primary School, died after coming into contact with a live electrical wire that was tangled with a clothesline at his residence.
The incident was confirmed by Joseph Lumbasi, the Assistant Chief of Isongo Sub-location, who called on parents to closely monitor their children during the school holidays to avoid similar accidents.
The boy's body has been taken to St. Mary's Mission Hospital Mortuary in Mumias, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
