Distance learning options offer reduced fees compared to full-time, evening, or weekend classes. Additional costs include administrative and one-time charges, while accommodation and meals are billed separately.

Admission Requirements

Entry criteria depend on the level of study:

  • Degree Programmes: Minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ with relevant subject grades; education degrees require C+ in teaching subjects.
  • Diploma Programmes: Minimum KCSE mean grade of C-; education diplomas require a C+ mean, C- in English, and D+ in mathematics.
  • Certificate Programmes: Minimum KCSE grade of D plain.

Alternative qualifications such as KACE certificates or recognized diplomas are accepted. Bridging courses are available for applicants needing to meet entry standards. Gretsa University admits students three times annually—in January, May, and September—with applications accepted year-round.
