A shooting incident at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, resulted in several fatalities and injuries on Saturday, authorities confirmed.
Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks described the scene as chaotic while officials continue to ascertain the exact number of victims. City spokesman Josh Palmer told NBC News that three people lost their lives and two others were wounded. It remains unclear if the gunman is included among the casualties.
Video footage shared by local media showed a young male suspect armed with a long gun outside the restaurant. Additional clips posted on social media captured panicked patrons fleeing the establishment.
Twin Falls is a city in southern Idaho with a population of approximately 56,000, located roughly 180 miles northwest of Salt Lake City.
