Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has expressed strong support for President William Ruto’s new initiative, Beyond Vision 2030, describing it as a bold and inclusive plan aimed at defining Kenya's socio-economic future.
In a statement released on July 30, 2026, Murkomen congratulated the President on launching the national conversation that will guide development beyond the current Vision 2030 framework.
Commitment to a Safe and Inclusive Dialogue
Murkomen emphasized that his ministry, responsible for internal security and national administration, will ensure a peaceful environment conducive to meaningful public engagement throughout the process.
“We remain committed to fostering a safe and conducive environment where meaningful dialogue can thrive, and development can flourish,” he said.
National Participation and Unity
The Interior CS confirmed readiness to facilitate the initiative once it formally kicks off on August 12, 2026. He echoed President Ruto’s call for unity and collective responsibility, stating, “Together, and in one accord, we will reimagine and build the Kenya we want.”
Inclusive Approach to Kenya’s Development
President Ruto has highlighted that the future development vision must be citizen-driven and not dictated solely by politicians or select groups. He advocates for an open, honest, and inclusive national conversation involving leaders, experts, youth, and ordinary Kenyans from all sectors.
Ruto remarked, “A national development charter cannot be designed by politicians alone, nor by any single institution, profession or interest group. It must be shaped by the people of Kenya themselves.”
