Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced fresh retaliatory strikes against United States military bases and assets located in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan. The attacks were described as responses to alleged US actions against Iran.
According to statements published by the IRGC’s official outlet, Sepah News, the forces deployed advanced kamikaze drones to target several key US installations. The IRGC claimed to have destroyed a large US ammunition depot at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, along with causing casualties among US personnel stationed there.
Additional operations reportedly included:
- Demolition of three US ammunition and equipment depots at the Al-Adiri Camp in Kuwait.
- Destruction of a data centre building belonging to US company Amazon in Bahrain.
- Damage inflicted on the watchtower of the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain.
- An attack on Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan, damaging several US fighter jets and barracks housing US troops.
- Surprise strikes in Erbil, Iraq, targeting US troop accommodations, a Patriot air defence system, and an espionage balloon.
Furthermore, the IRGC reported intercepting a US cruise missile over southeastern Iran, emphasizing ongoing hostilities. The Iranian Army also confirmed drone strikes on important US military centres in Jordan and Bahrain.
In contrast, US Central Command stated that its forces have conducted consecutive nights of strikes against Iranian military targets, aiming to reduce threats to commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
Since late June, Iran’s Health Ministry has reported over 50 fatalities and hundreds injured due to US strikes, while Iran continues its missile and drone offensives against US military sites across the region.
