Lang'ata MP Felix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang'o, has opened up about his longstanding friendship with former ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna during a recent podcast interview.

Jalang'o disclosed that their relationship extends beyond politics, sharing that Sifuna once visited his family home, where his mother personally prepared a meal for him. He even keeps a photograph of the two together from that visit.

Jalang'o said: "You will never hear me speak ill of Sifuna because he has been to my home. My mother cooked for him, and we shared a meal. I have a picture of my mother and Sifuna at my house. He has served as my secretary general for ten years. I will never insult him."

The MP also defended Sifuna when critics mocked the simplicity of his rural home, encouraging him to build a residence befitting his presidential aspirations.

Jalang'o extended similar respect to Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, describing him as a longtime friend he would never disparage.

Despite these close ties, Jalang'o acknowledged that he and his friends have chosen different political routes. He affirmed his support for President William Samoei Ruto and confirmed his own senatorial ambitions in Nairobi County.

"I have taken a different path politically. My president is William Samoei Ruto," he stated.

The candid revelations sparked diverse reactions across social media platforms, with Kenyans commenting on the nature of the friendships and the evolving political landscape.
