Motivational speaker Karangu Muraya has shared a heartfelt account of his brother Kagema Muraya’s sudden health crisis, which tragically ended with Kagema’s death on August 3.

In a video from an interview on Kameme TV's Imwe Kwa Imwe show, Karangu described the alarming moment when he was informed that Kagema had collapsed and was in critical condition.

Rapid Health Decline

Kagema was initially taken to a hospital in Ruiru but was later transferred to another facility after his condition failed to improve. Karangu revealed that he kept the illness private at first, concerned about public perception. He feared that sharing the news might be misunderstood as a plea for financial help, though his primary need was emotional support.

“Kagema is ill; he’s not okay; he’s in the ICU,” Karangu said during the interview, emphasizing his hope that his brother would recover within days. Unfortunately, the situation deteriorated unexpectedly.

Medical Diagnosis

Following the interview, Karangu’s wife, Carol Kim, disclosed that doctors diagnosed Kagema with tuberculous meningitis, a severe infection affecting the brain. Additionally, medical staff were managing a condition impacting the left side of his brain.

The video of Karangu’s candid narration has resonated widely on social media, with many Kenyans expressing sympathy and reflecting on the unpredictability of health crises.
