It suggested that Nyamu had sought a principal secretary role in exchange for stepping down as a woman representative candidate and supporting Esther Passaris, who plans to run again for Nairobi woman representative in 2027.
According to the rumour, President Ruto declined the request and instead proposed that Nyamu consider running for an MCA seat, an idea that allegedly surprised her during the meeting. However, none of these claims have been officially confirmed.
