Nearly 120 companies from Kenya and China are set to participate in the third East Africa Fashion Life Show, scheduled for August 13 to 15, 2026, at Nairobi's Sarit Expo Centre. The event is jointly organised by the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) and Afripeak Expo Kenya Ltd.

About 100 Chinese firms from provinces such as Hunan, Zhejiang, Shandong, and Anhui will join approximately 20 Kenyan companies at the three-day exhibition. The event will showcase a wide range of products including textiles, apparel, footwear, fashion accessories, household goods, beauty products, baby items, home appliances, and consumer electronics.

Boosting Regional Trade and Industry Collaboration

KNCCI President Erick Rutto emphasized the expo's role in enhancing business connections beyond Kenya's borders. He described the exhibition as a prime opportunity for Kenyan businesses to engage with manufacturers, distributors, designers, and buyers from Kenya, China, and the wider East African region.

"This regional exhibition presents an exceptional opportunity for Kenyan businesses to showcase their products, connect with buyers, distributors, manufacturers and investors from Kenya, China and across the East African region, and explore new export and trade opportunities," said Rutto.

Focus on Kenya’s Fashion Industry

The 2026 edition will put special emphasis on Kenya’s domestic fashion sector. Local designers and fashion institutions will participate in a dedicated showcase aimed at linking them with international fabric suppliers, accessory manufacturers, and garment production equipment providers.

Afripeak Expo Kenya Ltd Managing Director Gao Wei highlighted the event's evolution into a practical trade platform, directly connecting manufacturers with African buyers and partners.

"The continued growth of the East Africa Fashion Life Show demonstrates the strong demand for practical trade platforms that connect manufacturers directly with African buyers and industry partners," Gao stated.

Expanding Opportunities for Kenyan Enterprises

The collaboration between KNCCI and Afripeak Expo Kenya Ltd is expected to deepen the exhibition’s business orientation, providing Kenyan companies with greater access to international networks of manufacturers and institutional buyers.
