Kenya Kwanza coalition leaders have intensified efforts to rally support for President William Ruto's Vision 2060, advocating for a National Development Charter that ensures inclusive growth across all regions.

Speaking in counties including Mandera, Kericho, Bomet, and Garissa, the leaders emphasized the importance of involving every region in shaping Kenya’s development trajectory beyond Vision 2030.

Focus on Marginalized Regions

In Mandera West, the leaders highlighted progress made in addressing historical marginalization in Northern Kenya, urging for the region's full inclusion in the proposed development framework. Likuyani MP Innocent Mugabe noted the charter’s potential to give all Kenyans, including vulnerable groups like persons with disabilities and the elderly, a voice in national planning.

President Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet stressed the need to tackle regional inequalities, pointing out infrastructure gaps such as poor road networks and limited airport facilities in Mandera.

Reforms and Security Gains

Several leaders praised reforms in national ID issuance, initially benefiting North Eastern Kenya and now expanding nationwide. Isiolo Senator Fatuma Dullo, Laikipia Woman Representative Jane Kagiri, and Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse all acknowledged improved access to identification documents and enhanced security conditions under the current administration.

Criticism of Opposition Politics

In Kericho and Bomet, Kenya Kwanza officials criticized opposition figures, including Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing them of divisive politics that detract from development goals. Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot affirmed strong support for President Ruto within Mount Kenya, promising continuity of ongoing projects after the 2027 election.

Garissa County’s Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale dismissed claims by Gachagua of commanding large voter bases in the region, pledging to mobilize pastoralist and Muslim communities in support of Ruto’s re-election bid.
