Joseph Njata, a 47-year-old Kenyan residing in the United States, was recently identified as the man whose body was recovered from Medical Lake in Washington State.

The Spokane County Sheriff's Office reported that a passerby spotted the body near South Lefevre Street at the southern end of the lake. This led to the deployment of divers and Major Crimes detectives to the scene.
