Kirinyaga woman representative Njeri Maina has raised alarm over the abduction of Justin Kinyua, a blogger affiliated with the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP). The incident occurred on August 4, when Kinyua was reportedly seized by hooded gunmen and taken to an undisclosed location.
According to Maina, efforts to reach Kinyua via his mobile phones failed as they were switched off following his disappearance. She is working alongside Kirinyaga senator Kamau Murango and MP David Mathenge to track his whereabouts.
Detention and Transfer
Sources indicate that Kinyua was initially held at Ngurubani in Mwea under the custody of Wanguru DCI officers before being transferred to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters. Witnesses identified a vehicle with registration plate KDC 115A as the one used to transport him.
