Ker Odungi Randa, the President of the Luo Council of Elders, has called on the Luo community to unite behind President William Ruto's re-election campaign for the 2027 General Election. In his address, delivered in Dholuo, Randa urged the community to align with prominent leaders such as Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, who are backing Ruto's bid. He cautioned that those who opt to join the opposition risk facing a symbolic curse from the elders, reflecting the council's disapproval.

"I am giving you political direction. Where Oburu Oginga and Governor Gladys Wanga are, supporting President Ruto's two terms, that is where you should remain," Randa declared, receiving strong support from the crowd.
