A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of his wife in Sabwani Village, Kiminini Sub-County, Trans Nzoia County.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) confirmed that officers from Waitaluk Police Station, alongside DCI detectives and Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) teams, responded to a report from the local Assistant Chief.
Upon arrival, police discovered the body of Joan Nanjala on a bed inside the couple's residence. The victim sustained several injuries, including a dislocated right shoulder, a deep cut above the right eyebrow, and wounds on the right leg.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fatal injuries resulted from a domestic altercation between the suspect, identified as Haron Kibet, and the deceased.
CSI personnel processed the scene and collected evidence before transferring the body to Cherangany Hospital Mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Kibet is currently detained at Waitaluk Police Station as detectives continue their investigations ahead of his arraignment.
