Meghan Markle is reportedly in preliminary discussions to join the cast of Netflix’s popular crime comedy series The Gentlemen for its upcoming third season. This move could mark her most significant return to scripted acting since leaving the legal drama Suits in 2018.

The series, created by Guy Ritchie, debuted on Netflix in 2024 and quickly became one of the platform’s top-viewed shows. It follows a young aristocrat who inherits a vast country estate only to uncover its ties to a criminal underworld. The second season is set to premiere on 3 September, with a third season already approved.

Meghan’s reported interest in the role coincides with plans for her and Prince Harry to spend more time in the United Kingdom with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. While maintaining their home and business in California, the couple aims to extend their stays in Britain.

Although no contract has been finalized, and talks remain at an early stage, the potential casting signals a deliberate shift for Meghan back into mainstream entertainment. She is also slated to appear as herself in the upcoming Amazon MGM comedy Close Personal Friends, indicating a gradual return to screen projects after years focused on documentaries, lifestyle content, and advocacy.

Joining The Gentlemen would represent a strategic step toward re-establishing her acting career through a high-profile Netflix production with a global audience. Fans of her earlier work on Suits are closely watching developments as negotiations continue.
