Residents of Tulu, located in Nyatike sub-county, Migori County, are calling on local authorities to urgently fix their borehole, which has been non-functional for over two weeks.
The borehole outage has deprived hundreds of people of safe drinking water, forcing them to resort to a nearby dam shared with livestock. This situation has raised serious concerns about potential waterborne diseases.
Many residents report walking distances exceeding five kilometres or spending money to purchase water from Onger Trading Centre. The community is appealing to the Migori County Government to expedite repairs to alleviate the escalating water shortage.
