National Economic Development Party (NEDP) leader Mike Sonko and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino have indicated a political partnership as Nairobi's 2027 governorship race approaches.
The two met at Sonko's Upper Hill office on July 31, where they discussed the pressing issues facing Nairobi residents and explored joint strategies to improve the city's governance.
In a statement, Sonko said, "Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant and Embakasi East MP, Hon. Babu Owino, today paid me a courtesy call at my Upper Hill office. We held fruitful discussions on the many challenges facing the people of Nairobi and explored practical solutions to improve the lives of our residents."
He added that they agreed to work together to "reclaim Nairobi and restore it to the city its people deserve," signaling the start of a collaborative effort ahead of the polls.
