Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has acknowledged the club's ongoing efforts to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, addressing rumours linking them to Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior.
Speaking after a 4-1 pre-season win against Girona, Arteta emphasized the club's ambition to improve and confirmed expectations of further transfer activity before the summer window closes.
Interest in Vinicius Junior
The 26-year-old Brazilian's contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the upcoming season. Reports indicate that Real Madrid may consider selling Vinicius if contract renewal talks stall, as the club currently has no plans to enhance their latest offer.
While Arsenal are reportedly exploring the feasibility of signing the forward, sources close to Vinicius have denied any direct contact between the player’s representatives and the Premier League side.

- Arsenal are also linked with Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães as part of their efforts to bolster the squad.
