The ongoing investigation into the murder of renowned clinical psychologist Dr Victoria Mutiso has taken a new turn as two suspects, Rose Mbithe Mulwa and her son Chris Mulwa, denied allegations that a decades-old family dispute motivated the killing.

During a hearing at Milimani Law Courts on August 1, 2026, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) sought a 30-day extension to detain the suspects to complete their inquiries.
