John Kaguchia, currently serving as a Member of Parliament, has a diverse academic and professional background. Before entering politics, he worked nearly a decade as a Customer Care Coordinator at Nairobi City Water & Sewerage Company from 2008 to 2017.

Kaguchia was arrested on August 3 following comments he made at a political rally. He appeared in court on August 5, where he was released on a bond of Sh1 million or an alternative cash bail of Sh250,000. The case is pending further hearing.
