Nairobi City County has launched a recruitment drive for more than 900 part-time locum positions aimed at strengthening healthcare and support services across the county.
Available Positions
The majority of vacancies are in the health sector, highlighting the county's commitment to expanding medical personnel in its facilities. Key roles include:
- Nursing Officer (Locum): 200 positions
- Registered Nurse (Locum): 200 positions
- Specialised Nursing Care (Locum): 100 positions
- Nutrition and Dietetics (Locum): 30 positions
- Health Records and Information Officer (Locum): 20 positions
- Radiographer (Locum): 20 positions
- Dental Officer (Locum): 20 positions
Additionally, the county has advertised 40 locum roles in support services, including cleaners, bush clearers, gardeners, and grave diggers.
Application Process and Eligibility
All applicants must submit their applications through Nairobi County's official recruitment portal by August 11, 2026. Only Kenyan citizens without criminal convictions or ongoing criminal cases are eligible. The county emphasized that no physical applications will be accepted.
